Abstract

This solicitation overview provides grant information and resources for entities that may be interested in funding assistance from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) to support two categories of work: to implement and/or enhance Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs) or support integration with other health information technology systems; or the second category, to develop and test innovative strategies or implement a multistate effort that can be replicated in other states. The two categories for applicants are: Category 1 – PDMP implementation, maintenance, and enhancement grants; Category 2 – Data-driven response multistate projects, or advancement of PDMP. The overview notes eligible applicants as being, for both Category 1 and Category 2: state governments or Native American tribal organizations. For applicants falling under the second category only: private, public, and state-controlled institutions of higher education; nonprofit organizations, regardless of 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education.
