Abstract
THE REGULATORY AGENCIES, WHICH LIKE THE POLICE ARE ORGANIZATIONS TO GUARD THE PUBLIC SAFETY, HAVE AS THEIR SPECIAL JURISDICTION THE OVERSEEING AND REGULATION OF SUCH AREAS AS TRADE, CONSTRUCTION, FOOD, HEALTH, AND TRAFFIC. THIS TEXT TREATS THE DIFFERENT STRUCTURES OF REGULATORY AND POLICE AGENCIES AT THE FEDERAL, STATE (LAND), AND LOCAL LEVELS. ALSO DISCUSSED ARE FEDERAL AND STATE LEGISLATION CONSTITUTION THESE AGENCIES, THE HISTORY OF THE POLICE CONCEPT IN GERMANY, THE CONCEPT OF GUARDING THE PUBLIC SAFETY, THE RESORT TO THESE AGENCIES BY CITIZENS, AGENCY RESPONSIBILITIES, AND CLAIMS OF DAMAGES CONNECTED WITH POLICE AND REGULATORY LAW.
