These 1983 data for the Georgia criminal justice system encompass law enforcement, the courts, corrections, and pardons and paroles.
Abstract
In addition to extensive tabular data and figures covering arrests, crime patterns, conviction rates, and sentencing patterns, the report provides brief descriptions of each of the four criminal justice system components and explains how the data were collected and analyzed. A concluding section provides summaries, contributed by representatives of each system component, on such topics as official corruption, drug trafficking, drunk driving, violent crimes, limited prison capacity, and conviction and punishment issues. An explanation of data analysis techniques is appended.
