Abstract
THE BLACK MOVEMENT IS DEEMED TO BE ONE ARISING OUT OF A REALIZATION OF IMPOTENCE. THE ESSAYS EMPHASIZE THE POLITICAL CONSEQUENCES OF THE REVOLTS AND STRESS BLACK COLLECTIVE POWER AS POTENTIAL POLITICAL STRENGTH. TOPICS DISCUSSED ARE, CLEVELAND'S GHETTO CRISIS OF 1966, ITS CAUSES AND ECONOMIC BASES, THE DEVELOPING BLACK RAGE TOWARD WHITE INSTITUTIONS, AND NEGROES WORKING WITHIN THEM, AND THE WEAKNESS OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY AS A POLITICAL FORCE, THE POLITICS BEHIND RIOT COMMISSION OBJECTIVITY, SNIPING, THE NEW PATTERN OF VIOLENCE, THE POTENTIAL WHITE BACKLASH TO BLACK POWER, THE GEORGE WALLACE WHITE SUPREMATIST MOVEMENT IS DISCUSSED HERE. CONCLUSIONS INDICATE AN OMINOUS FUTURE OF SOCIAL UNREST.
