This document lays out the highlights of the November 2015 Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global) Advisory Committee (GAC, the Committee) Meeting. It provides descriptions of the various presentations and discussions during the Meeting, which encouraged information sharing among critical decision makers and stakeholders on topics related to the following: Tribal Law and Order Act (TLOA) and the report from the Global Improving Tribal Justice Information Sharing Task Team, key justice information sharing (JIS) activities, the Global Juvenile Assessment Task Team (JATT), the Law Enforcement Cyber Center (LECC), BJA’s National Body-Worn Camera Toolkit; the Voices from the Field section discussed Open Justice Broker Consortium (OJBC), the Violence reduction Network (VRN), and the Arizona National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) Mental Health Order Reporting; and the Insights and Updates on Key JIS Activities section lists the various presentations about information sharing, the Standards Coordinating Council( SCC), the critical role of data in the commission of justice and public safety, the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), the Global Justice XML Structure Task Force (XSTF), RAND Corporation’s report on improving information sharing across law enforcement, and prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs). The document also notes the recognition of Chief Harlin R. McEwen, who was presented the Global Distinguished Service Award.
