Abstract
THE AUTHOR PRESENTS THE ORIGIN, HISTORY, AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE GRAND JURY. HE DESCRIBES THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE GRAND JURORS AS WELL AS THE ORGANIZATION OF THE GRAND JURY. THE OATH, POWERS AND DUTIES OF GRAND JURORS ARE SUMMARIZED. A DISCUSSION OF HOW THE GRAND JURY TRANSACTS BUSINESS AND INTERACTS WITH THE COURT IS INCLUDED. A PREFACE TO THE REPUBLICATION INTRODUCES THE MODERN GRAND JURY, ITS NATURE AND OPERATING PROCEDURES, AND THE ROLE OF THE MODERN GRAND JUROR. ALSO INCLUDED IS AN UP-TO-DATE BIBLIOGRAPHY.
