Abstract
This book is intended for use by practitioners who wish to use group therapies when working with individuals addicted to drugs and alcohol. The book addresses two critical therapeutic issues in the treatment of addiction. First, the author places alcoholism within the disease paradigm and discusses the importance of requiring the alcoholic to maintain their sobriety. Second, the author presents a process for how alcoholics can attain sobriety and maintain the redecision to not drink.
