STUDY OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF REHABILITATION TREATMENT IN PRISON BASED ON INTERVIEWS WITH TWO FORMER INMATES, NINE CURRENT INMATES AND NINE STAFF EMPLOYEES OF ONE OPEN AND ONE CLOSED DANISH CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION.
Abstract
THE STUDY SHOWED THAT, ON THE BASIS OF THE RESPONSES OF THOSE BEING INTERVIEWED, GUARDING PRISONERS IS AN ACTIVITY THAT CLASHES WITH THE TREATMENT OF PRISONERS. IN MANY CASES, IT INTERFERES DIRECTLY WITH TREATMENT. THUS, GUARDING PRISONERS INTERFERES WITH THE OFFICIAL PURPOSE OF PRISONS, WHICH IS REHABILITATION. A LIST OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED OF THE INMATES AND ONE OF THE QUESTIONS ASKED OF THE STAFF EMPLOYEES AT THE INTERVIEWS ARE INCLUDED. --IN DANISH
