This presentation at the 2014 National Association of Drug Court Professionals Training Conference focuses on the following topics related to the development of a comprehensive plan for integrating innovative programs into a drug court: program implementation; involving individuals and maximizing "buy-in;" guiding system-level change; and tracking and evaluating progress.
Abstract
The features of program implementation discussed are the use of evidence-based practices (EBPs) and the integration of two distinctive program models. The features of involving individuals and maximizing buy-in are taking a coordinated team approach and involving external team members. The discussion of ways to guide system-level change focuses on ensuring sustainable institutional change by using logic models, process flow charts, and organizational charts. Elements discussed for tracking and evaluating progress are the capturing of meaningful outcomes and reinforcing, improving, and sustaining program implementation.
