A SERIES OF ELEVEN PERSONAL ESSAYS WRITTEN BY FOLSOM PRISON CONVICTS, IN WHICH THE INMATES EXPRESS THEIR ATTITUDES, HOPES, DESIRES, AND FRUSTRATIONS.
Abstract
THE SOURCE OF THESE ESSAYS WAS THE FOLSOM CREATIVE WRITERS' WORKSHOP. ALL THE AUTHORS INCLUDED IN THIS ANTHOLOGY WERE MEMBERS AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. ALTHOUGH THE ARTICLES GENERALLY DO NOT DESCRIBE THE PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE PRISON, THEY OFFER A PENETRATING VIEW OF PRISON LIFE AND PRISONER ATTITUDES.
