Sexual aggression was conceptualized as a continuum ranging from mutually consensual sexual intercourse to rape.
Abstract
A continuum of sexual victimization was also conceptualized corresponding to the continuum of sexual aggression. The Sexual Experiences Survey was administered to 3,862 university students to document the degrees of experience students had with sexual aggression and victimization. These data support the validity of a dimensional view of sexual aggression and victimization and suggest that both sexual aggression and sexual victimization occur in varying degrees. 9 tables, 12 references.
