COMPARATIVELY FEW STUDIES HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE HISTORICAL FARMS AND DEVELOPMENT OF CRIMINALITY AND CRIMINOLOGY, OR IN THE HISTORICAL RECONSTRUCTION AND CRIMINOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF INDIVIDUAL CRIMINAL CASES.
Abstract
HISTORY AND CRIMINOLOGY CAN EACH PROFIT FROM THE OTHER'S METHODS IN AREAS WHERE THEIR SUBJECT MATTERS OVERLAP. AN OUTLINE IS PROVIDED FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND USE OF MATERIALS IN THE RECONSTRUCTION AND ANALYSIS OF CRIMINAL CASES OF THE PAST. EXAMPLES ARE GIVEN FROM THE HISTORY OF SWITZERLAND OF CASES THAT WOULD BE OF INTEREST TO HISTORICAL CRIMINOLOGICAL RESEARCH. THE ONLY UNIVERSITY CHAIR IN THE WORLD FOR HISTORICAL CRIMINOLOGY IS AT THE MAX-PLANCK INSTITUTE IN FREIBURG, WEST GERMANY. --IN FRENCH
