This report presents detailed statistical data about Florida's Home Detention program during the period July 1995 to June 1996.
Abstract
The report highlights each individual detention center and provides basic summary information as well as detailed statistical data about the detention program's operations during the year. Home detention is defined as the temporary custody of a youth while he or she is released to the custody of parents, guardian or custodian in a physically non-restrictive environment while under the supervision of a community youth leader pending adjudication, disposition, or placement in a residential commitment program. The document attempts to describe each of the individual programs and provide some basic information regarding operational aspects of the overall program. Data presented for each center and for the statewide program include: location, catchment area, population, client-staff ratio, staffing, capacity, overcrowding, required additional staff, and available electronic monitoring units.
