Data on homicide (murder and non-negligent manslaughter) reported by law enforcement agencies in North Dakota in 2011 include the number, victim characteristics, known assailant characteristics, weapon used, and whether domestic violence was involved.
Abstract
Although tribal law enforcement agencies and any other Federal law enforcement agencies in the State do not participate in the State UCR program, every effort was made to include all homicides that occurred within the State's borders. In 2011, 15 homicide deaths were recorded by North Dakota law enforcement agencies under the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program. Ten of the victims were male, and 11 were adults (18 years old or older). Firearms were used by assailants in six of the deaths. Six of the homicides involved domestic-violence incidents. Eleven of the 13 identified assailants were male, and all of the identified assailants were adults. 22 tables
