This survey of 669 Dutch towns and police and victim statistics from 1988 indicates that burglary crimes in The Netherlands continue to increase.
Abstract
Police statistics indicate that burglary crime increased by 111 percent from 1980 to 1988; general criminal activities increased by only 60 percent and property crimes by 72 percent. The number of victims nearly doubled as well, from 1.6 percent in 1980 to 3 percent in 1988. Statistical data tables for the 669 towns surveyed are included. Maps, tables, and charts.
