These seven papers focus on issues related to the selection and training of police and corrections personnel in Florida, as well as police and corrections management and responsibilities.
Abstract

The papers are the final study papers of the second class of the Senior Leadership Program of the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute. Individual papers focus on the recruitment, selection, and retention of police and correctional personnel in Florida, the future of minority law enforcement executives in Florida, and managerial opportunities in Florida jails. Other papers focus on sexual harassment in Florida law enforcement, the model used by the Metro-Dade Police Department to achieve the early identification of police brutality and police misconduct, managerial perspectives in the development of a physical fitness program, and actions police executives can take to reduce the number of police deaths.
