PROJECT SUMMARY AND DESCRIPTION, GRANT APPLICATION MATERIALS, PLANNING CONFERENCE SUMMARIES AND SEMINAR AGENDAS FOR THE DIVISION OF STATE AND PROVINCIAL POLICE EXECUTIVE SEMINARS.
Abstract
THE IACP DIVISION OF STATE AND PROVINCIAL POLICE CONSISTS OF CHIEF EXECUTIVES OF THE NATION'S STATE POLICE, PUBLIC SAFETY AND HIGHWAY PATROL AGENCIES AND THEIR PRINCIPAL STAFF OFFICERS. FOUR REGIONAL CONFERENCES WERE PLANNEDNORTH ATLANTIC, SOUTHERN, NORTH CENTRAL, AND MOUNTAIN PACIFIC. INNOVATIVE IDEAS AND EXPERIENCES WITH REGIONAL AND NATIONAL IMPORT WERE DISCUSSED. AT EACH REGIONAL CONFERENCE, OUTSIDE CONSULTANTS, ACADEMICIANS AND GUEST LECTURERS WITH SPECIAL SKILLS PROVIDED LECTURES AND SUPPLEMENTARY WRITTEN MATERIAL. THE AGENDA OF EACH REGIONAL EXECUTIVE CONFERENCE WAS PREPARED BY PRIOR REGIONAL PLANNING MEETINGS. THESE MEETINGS PROVIDED THE MATERIAL FOR ORGANIZING THE AGENDA. THE CONFERENCES WERE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE ATTENDEES WITH CURRENT INFORMATION RELATIVE TO A BROAD RANGE OF TIMELY TOPICS OF VITAL INTEREST TO STATE POLICE EXECUTIVES AND WHICH RELATE TO CONTEMPORARY ISSUES WITHIN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM.
