Abstract
A DESCRIPTION IS GIVEN OF THE OVERALL PHYSICAL ORGANIZATION OF THE SYSTEM. COMMENTS ON BASIC DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS AND OPERATING FEATURES INCLUDE DISCUSSION OF DATA ENTRY, INQUIRY CAPABILITIES, DATA SECURITY, FILE SECURITY, TRANSACTION SECURITY, TERMINAL SECURITY, INDIVIDUAL RECORD SECURITY, AND DATA BASE AVAILABILITY. THE FINAL SECTION RELATES OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM TO THE PROCESSING OF AN OFFENDER THROUGH A RECEPTION CENTER.
