The review of developments over the prior 10 years covers the period since the establishment of the Department of Corrections in 1970. Information is provided on volunteer services, legislation, the office of operations, the policy development division, and the office of program services. Also included is information on improvements in health and library services, affirmative action, advocacy services, correctional training programs, recreation opportunities, and management. Tables provide data on inmates and finances for 1980 and on corrections activities from 1970 to 1980. The correctional facilities and their addresses are listed, and photographs are included.
