IN ADDITION TO THE COMMISSION'S FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS, THIS REPORT INCLUDES LISTS OF THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE COMMISSION AND ADVISORY COUNCIL, THE TEXT OF THE ACT CREATING THE STUDY COMMISSION, AND SEVERAL APPENDIXES. AMONG THE APPENDED INFORMATION ARE THE WORKLOADS OF STATE'S ATTORNEYS IN ILLINOIS, SALARY INFORMATION, COSTS FIGURES FOR STATE'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICES, AND A LIST OF SPECIFIC CRIMINAL AND CIVIL DUTIES OF THE STATE'S ATTORNEY. THE COMMISSION RECOMMENDED, AMONG OTHER THINGS, THAT PROFESSIONALISM AND CAREER ORIENTATION IN THE STATE'S ATTORNEY'S OFFICE BE ENCOURAGED, AND THAT THERE SHOULD BE VOLUNTARY CONSOLIDATION OF THE OFFICE IN SMALLER POPULATED COUNTIES.
