CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF DRUG USE AND ABUSE WITH CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR.
Abstract
DISCUSSION TOPICS INCLUDE THE REACTIONS OF GOVERNMENTS AND INDIVIDUALS TO THE DRUG-TAKING PHENOMENON (INCLUDING HISTORICAL REACTIONS); THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DRUG MISUSE AND OVERT CRIMINALITY; AND REACTIONS OF DOCTORS TO THE DRUG PROBLEM, PARTICULARLY WITH RESPECT TO THE THERAPY AND REHABILITATION OF JUVENILE DELINQUENT DRUG ADDICTS. MOST OF THE MATERIAL REFERS TO THE EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE, ALTHOUGH EVENTS AND REACTIONS TO DRUG ABUSE IN THE UNITED STATES SERVE FOR EXAMPLES.
