THE POTENTIAL VALUE OF AN INFORMATION SYSTEM TO MANAGERS OF POLICE, COURT AND CORRECTIONAL ACTIVITIES. THE NATURE OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND THEIR DEVELOPMENT THROUGH SYSTEMS ANALYSIS AND OTHER TECHNIQUES. LIMITATIONS CURRENTLY SLOWING THE DEVELOPMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS ARE IDENTIFIED AND ONE APPROACH TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS ON A NATION-WIDE BASIS IS SUGGESTED.
