The Cadic-system is a computer-aided dispatch system; such systems are rapidly becoming central to emergency service and dispatch centers around the world.
Abstract
Cadic is an open comprehensive information management system designed to make the efficiency of information processing optimal and to meet the specific needs of law enforcement agencies and other emergency services. The Cadic-system improves and accelerates the processing of requests, including telephone requests, walk-in calls, alarms, and self-initiated field activities. It also provides complete statistical reports to help in daily management. In addition, query capabilities allow the search or local or statewide databases. Cadic is basically a decision support system that is open to the integration of information packages for future information management. Such information technology can assist command and control, reporting, and the criminal information management cycle. The imaging system provides access to digital maps, digitized freehand sketches, technical plans, and photographs as well.
