Abstract
The first paper examines data concerning 20 females charged with rape in Massachusetts. Data profile defendants, victims, and offenses. Another article describes a Genesis II study that examined the characteristics of female sex offenders and the effectiveness of treatment they received. A description of Genesis II female sex offender programming addresses intake and assessment, ongoing weekly group therapy and case coordination with child protection, and court services. Another article explains how PHASE (Program for Healthy Adolescent Sexual Expression) has extended its program to female sex abusers. A related article discusses PHASE female sex offender case construction. Other articles consider the past sexual victimization by females of male patients in an adolescent medicine clinic population, incestuous mothers, notes from a workshop on female sex offenders, and treatment and legal issues related to female sexual offenders. Other topics include an adolescent female sex offender education/assessment and treatment program, and case studies of female sex offenders. An 18-item bibliography on female sexual abusers is provided.
