Abstract
Kristen Johnson, a researcher with the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, talks about a risk assessment for mistreatment of the elderly that she is currently developing in New Hampshire. Rachel Lakin of the New Hampshire Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services provides a practice and policy perspective regarding an effective relationship between state agency staff and researchers, as well as how such a collaboration has changed practices in her agency through research. Kathleen Quinn, director of the National Adult Protective Services Association, offers a national perspective that includes guidelines for helping state agencies that are considering participation in a research project intended to improve risk assessment for victims of elder abuse. 7 resource listings
