Groups of Wyoming attorneys who had entered or not entered the insanity plea on behalf of clients were interviewed to determine their beliefs about the insanity plea, bifurcation of trial procedures, reasons for entering the plea in specific cases, and their satisfaction with the outcome of making the plea.
