Abstract
IT IS DESIGNED FOR BOTH JUVENILE OFFENDERS AND JUVENILES IN NEED OF CARE AND MAY ENCOMPASS ANY OF THE FIVE FOLLOWING APPROACHES: DAY ACTIVITIES: DAY ACTIVITIES COMBINED WITH A BRIEF RESIDENTIAL PERIOD: A 30-DAY RESIDENTIAL PERIOD; HOSTELS WITHIN THE CHILD'S HOME ENVIRONMENT TO BE USED OVERNIGHT OR FOR OTHER SHORT PERIODS TO PROVIDE BREATHING SPACE IN HOME CRISES; AND 90-DAY TREATMENT CENTERS.
