THIS INSTRUCTOR'S MANUAL IS DESIGNED FOR USE WITH THE TEXTBOOK 'INTRODUCTION TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE,' INTENDED FOR A BEGINNING COLLEGE-LEVEL COURSE ON THE SUBJECT.
Abstract
THE COURSE SHOULD PLACE PRIMARY EMPHASIS ON THE TEXT, WITH THIS MANUAL PROVIDING A SUPPLEMENTARY TESTING AND ANSWER SOURCE FOR THE INSTRUCTOR. PATTERNED AFTER THE TEXTBOOK, THE MANUAL ALSO CONTAINS 17 CHAPTERS ORGANIZED INTO 6 DIVISIONS ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: INTRODUCTION, CRIME AND CRIMINAL LAW, LAW ENFORCEMENT, THE COURT, CORRECTIONS, AND THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM. FOR EACH CHAPTER, THERE IS AN OUTLINE OF KEY CONCEPTS, A COMPLETE SET OF ANSWERS FOR REVIEW AND DISCUSSION QUESTIONS, AND A TEST BANK CONSISTING OF MULTIPLE-CHOICE, TRUE-FALSE, MATCHING QUESTIONS. IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THE INSTRUCTOR USE THE TEST BANK TO DETERMINE IF STUDENTS HAVE UNDERSTOOD AND RETAINED THE CHAPTER OBJECTIVES OUTLINED AT THE START OF EACH CHAPTER IN THE TEXT. FOR THE TEXTBOOK, SEE NCJRS 67400. (MRK)
