ARTICLE DISCUSSES BENEFIT OF CONTROL AND CONTAINMENT MEASURES IN THE PREVENTION OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY.
Abstract
SOME THEORISTS HAVE LONG ARGUED THAT PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO KEEP YOUTH BUSY OR OFF THE STREETS ARE DESIRABLE AND WORKABLE. THE AUTHOR, THROUGH RESERCH AND STUDY, HAS UNCOVERED DATA THAT CONFLICTS WITH THIS. HOWEVER, HE RECOGNIZES THE LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY THAT ONLY EXAMINED THE RELATIONS AMONG TWO ASPECTS OF OUTER CONTAINMENT, THREE MEASURES OF INNER CONTAINMENT, AND FIVE DELINQUENT ACTS.
