AS THE PROGRAM IS STILL IN ITS EARLY STAGES, THE EVALUATION EMPHASIS HAS FOCUSED ON PROGRAM ORGANIZATION, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND PROCESS. THE PROCESSES AT WORK ON CLIENTS ARE DEEMED WELL ADMINISTERED.
Abstract
THE MAJORITY OF THE EVALUATION DATA WERE COLLECTED FROM THE FILES OF THE PROBATION DIRECTOR. THE POPULATION BEING CONSIDERED DID NOT HAVE SERIOUS NOR REPETITIVE CRIMINAL HISTORIES AND CONSISTED PRINCIPALLY OF MALE MILITARY PERSONNEL. OF ALL THE SERVICES RENDERED, THE PRESENTENCE REPORT IS CONSIDERED THE MOST IMPORTANT IN CONTRIBUTING TO EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE CASE HANDLING. TO DATE THE RECIDIVISM AND REVOCATION RATE FOR PROBATIONERS HAS BEEN LOW. OF 167 CLIENTS RECEIVING PROBATION OR SENTENCE SUPERVISION, THERE HAVE BEEN EIGHT REVOCATIONS. OF THAT NUMBER, THREE HAVE HAD THEIR PROBATION REINSTATED. THE EVALUATOR GIVES A FAVORABLE PREDICTION FOR THE LONG TERM SUCCESS OF THE PROGRAM....RCB
