This Jail Resource Catalog is designed as a comprehensive resource tool that profiles agencies and organizations that can respond to the needs and concerns of jail administrators.

Abstract

The catalog is organized into two sections. The first section features detailed entries of 60 government agencies and organizations as well as professional organizations and their affiliates that address the needs and concerns of jail administrators on both an individual and national level. The entries contain the name of the organization and sponsoring agency, the name of the head of the agency, the name of the information center/library or division, the head of the center or head of the division, contact person, address, telephone number, source of funding, year established, objectives, areas covered, services offered, special programs, technical assistance/training provisions, publications, and user restrictions. The second section is a State-by-State listing that features Federal and States agencies and offices that offer assistance or target resources for corrections services and programs. Each listing provides contact person's title, agency name, address, phone number, and fax number if available.
