This volume presents summary data and descriptions on 72 State and national programs providing judicial education.
Abstract
The information came from a 1985 survey of judicial education programs in all States, the District of Columbia, and 21 national organizations. The survey focused on the populations of judges and court personnel trained, the program faculty, and the general scope of the judicial education courses. An overview discusses the range of opportunities, limitations, and possibilities currently presented in judicial education. A State-by-State list of programs gives each program's address and contact person, the people trained, the topics covered, faculty, State policies on educational leave and reimbursement, and other judicial education programs in the State. A final section describes 11 national programs and lists 10 others that have an educational component. Charts and appended tables.
