Abstract
THE RULE-MAKING POWER OF THE COURTS IS OFTEN REFERRED TO AS THE POWER TO PRESCRIBE RULES OF 'PLEADING, PRACTICE PROCEDURE.' THIS INFORMATION SHEET IS CONCERNED PRIMARILY WITH THE POWER TO PRESCRIBE RULES OF PROCEDURE (INCLUDING PLEADING) AS DISTINGUISHED FROM THE POWER TO PRESCRIBE RULES REGULATING THE PRACTICE OF LAW AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE COURT SYSTEM.
