Abstract
Hawaii's judiciary includes the Supreme Court and other appeal courts, circuit courts, family courts, and district courts. Legislative priorities for the court system focus on judicial salaries, additional judges, court security, capital improvement projects, and the appellate mediation program. Judicial accomplishments concern to alternatives to incarceration, juvenile and domestic violence programs, mediation-mentoring in schools to promote problem-solving behavior, and document imaging and other automation improvements. Courts of appeal and trial courts are briefly described, and caseload data are tabulated. Support services and financial resources associated with Hawaii's judicial system are noted. Tables, figures, and photographs
