A SYSTEM WITH CENTRAL COMPUTER FILES CONTAINING SELECTED LEGAL INFORMATION WHICH INCLUDES UNITED STATES STATUTORY LAWS, LEGAL BRIEFS, MEMOS, AND SELECTED DECISIONS.
Abstract
THE SYSTEM IS INTENDED TO AID LAWYERS FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BY REDUCING WASTED RESEARCH TIME AND EFFORT IN PREPARING LEGAL DOCUMENTS. THE SUMMARY OF JURIS ENUMERATES THE TYPES OF MATERIALS WHICH ARE BEING CONSIDERED FOR INCLUSION IN ITS DATA BASE. THE CHIEF BENEFITS TO BE DERIVED FROM JURIS ARE THE AVOIDANCE OF DUPLICATION OF EFFORT AND THE IMPROVEMENT IN QUALITY OF THE LEGAL PRODUCTS OF DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE ATTORNEYS. THE FEATURES AND OPERATION TECHNIQUES OF THIS RETRIEVAL SYSTEM ARE DESCRIBED.
