THE GEOGRAPHER CAN MAKE A SUBSTANTIAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE SELECTION OF JURORS BY DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT THE JURORS SELECTED ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF THEIR COMMUNITY.
Abstract
VOTING LISTS ARE CRITICIZED FOR PROVIDING NON-REPRESENTATIVE LISTS OF JURORS. BY COMPARING THE RESIDENTIAL LOCATION OF JURORS WITH MAJOR SOCIO-GEOGRAPHIC PATTERNS, A MORE REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLE CAN BE TAKEN.
