This first episode of the Just Science Podcast’s Supporting Medicolegal Death Investigators mini season features two guests: Cory Russo, the Medical Examiner Investigator at the Utah State Office of the Medical Examiner, and Chelsea Brown, Senior Deputy Coroner at the Orange County Coroner’s Office. In this episode, they discuss the path to joining the medicolegal death investigator (MDI) profession, and how an effective way to gain exposure to this kind of career is through participating in internship programs that are available in some offices.
