This report presents an overview of the Huron County juvenile court during 1989, which included a survey of school children to determine the extent of the alcohol and drug abuse problem.
Abstract
The Juvenile Court also launched an effort to better serve abused and neglected children. By appointing a guardian ad litem who advocates in a child's best interest, the amount of time these children spent in foster care was reduced. Also included are statistical data on the sources of delinquent complaints, violations on delinquent complaints, and the residences and ages of children named on delinquent complaints. Information is given on the dispositions of complaints, and financial information for child care and detention is provided.
