Abstract
Divided into seven chapters, Volume 2 of the Juvenile Delinquency Court Assessment (JDCA) contains briefing documents on the various research efforts that informed the examination of California’s juvenile court system. Chapter 1 focuses on the methodology of the study. Chapters 2, 3, and 4 provide detailed results of the surveys of judicial officers, probation officers, and attorneys respectively. Chapter 5 focuses on the perspectives of court users gained during focus groups. Chapter 6 provides a review of juvenile court facilities and the final chapter contains the research instruments used for the assessment. These data sources served as the foundation for the findings and recommendations contained in Volume 1 of the JDCA.
