Abstract
THIS HANDBOOK IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PRINCIPAL PARTS. THE FIRST SECTION CONTAINS EXPLANATIONS OF THE COURT SYSTEM, ITS PROCECURES, AND PRACTICES, AND INCLUDES A DISCUSSION OF THE LAWS IN OHIO RELATING TO DELINQUENCY, AND HOW THESE LAWS ARE IMPLEMENTED IN CUYAHOGA COUNTY JUVENILE COURT. THE SECOND SECTION ATTEMPTS TO SUGGEST APPROPRIATE STEPS WHICH ANY PERSON INTERESTED IN A CHILD WHO IS CHARGED WITH DELINQUENT OR UNRULY CONDUCT, MAY TAKE TO HELP THE CHILD AT VARIOUS STAGES OF HIS/HER INVOLVEMENT WITH THE JUVENILE COURT. THE APPENDIX CONTAINS SELECTED STATUTES FROM THE OHIO REVISED CODE RELATING TO DELINQUENCY, SELECTED RULES FROM THE STATE RULES OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE, SAMPLE COMPLAINT, SUMMONS, AND APPLICATION FOR EXPUNGEMENT FORMS, AND LISTS OF STATE YOUTH COMMSSSION FACILITIES, OFFICES OF THE CLEVELAND LEGAL AID SOCIETY, AND PERSONNEL OF THE COUNTY JUVENILE COURT.
