Abstract
COMMON PROBLEMS AMONG YOUTH ARE CONSIDERED, AND DISCUSSION MATERIAL IS PROVIDED FOR REACHING A DECISION OR SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEMS. THE GAULT DECISION AND ITS IMPLICATIONS, THE THEORY OF JUVENILE COURTS, AND THE LEGAL PROCESS INVOLVED AT THE TIME OF JUVENILE ARREST ARE AMONG THE SUBJECTS COVERED IN THE LESSONS ON JUVENILE LAW. CITIZENS', AND PARTICULARLY JUVENILES', RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITY IN RELATION TO CRIME ARE DEALT WITH. THE THEORY OF JUVENILE LAW IS COMPARED WITH JUVENILE LAW IN PRACTICE AND THE REASONING BEHIND PUNISHMENT OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR IS CONSIDERED. THE FINAL SECTION DEALS WITH REHABILITATION QUESTIONS.
