Abstract
Information and statistics on management and administration encompass the report of the task force that examined bed shortages in prisons and jails, institutions accredited, inmate grievances, budget, inmate population projections, litigation, staff training, and the parole board. Information and statistics on adult institutions cover construction, mental health services, medical services, elderly inmates, inmate education, extraordinary occurrences (inmate deaths, escapes, attacks on staff, etc.), incarceration costs, and inmate projects. Information and statistics on community-based services address the intensive supervision program, privatization, probation and parole caseloads, controlled intake, and jail construction.
