Abstract
The first section, National Accounts Statistics, consists of a systematic statistical description of the economy as a whole. The second section presents information from the quarterly Labor Force Sample Survey, which classifies persons 16 to 74 old years according to their work status during one week of each month: unemployed, temporarily absent from work, or employed. The sample population is also described according to industry, occupation, educational level, socioeconomic groups, marital status, age, and number of working hours. Section 3, Employment Statistics, covers all employees (citizens and aliens) by age and place of residence. Section 4 classifies unemployed persons according to occupation, age, and duration of unemployment; it also presents annual unemployment averages. Section 5 informs on government measures to promote employment while Section 6 analyzes labor conflicts and working days lost. Numerous charts and graphs as well as the Labor Force Sample Survey are appended.
