TWELVE EXPERIMENTS ARE DESCRIBED THAT ALLOW A STUDENT TO OBTAIN FIRSTHAND KNOWLEDGE OF VARIOUS BLOODSTAIN PATTERNS.
Abstract
IN ALL CASES THE STUDENT ACTUALLY CREATES THE BLOODSTAINS UNDER KNOWN LABORATORY CONDITIONS AND MAY LATER USE THESE AS STANDARDS FOR A DIRECT COMPARISON TO EVIDENCE FOUND IN ACTUAL CASES. EXPERIMENTS RELATE TO THE ANGLE AND VELOCITY OF BLOODSTAINS AS WELL AS TO THE DRYING TIME AND METHOD OF DISSEMINATION. THIS LABORATORY MANUAL WAS DESIGNED TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH 'FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS AND STAIN PATTERNS OF HUMAN BLOOD', NCJ-01747.
