Abstract

In this second part, the scientific evidence which may be used to link an offender with his victim, or with the scene, is considered. The three most common ways of indicating the offender, or contact with him, are body fluid grouping, hair, and fibers. The first two provide direct evidence against him, the latter indirect evidence. Vegetation and other materials from items associated with the offender may also be of value. (Publisher abstract)
