Computer technology has modernized the gambling industry but has made the identification of suspected cheaters more challenging.
Abstract
In an industry effort to prevent cheaters, research was conducted to assess the effects of latent print processing methods on computer components used in the gambling industry. The research explored whether a laser or an alternate light source, a superglue process, or laser dyes used in conjunction with the superglue process affected computer components. Results showed that computer circuit boards and computer chips could be processed for latent prints using a laser or an alternate light source, the superglue process, and laser dye stain with no adverse effects on computer component operations.
