Abstract
"NAUMD Best Dressed Awards for 2011" presents the winners of the North-American Association of Uniform Manufacturers & Distributors' 2011 Best Dressed competition. "New TRU XTREME Tactical Response Uniform" profiles the new TRU XTREME uniform, which is designed for tactical law enforcement officers. "Disaster Preparation: Go-Bags for Cops" touts the importance of officers having a "disaster bag" pre-packed with essential items that could be life-saving. "The Supervisor's Rapid Response Bag" describes the supervisor's "go bag," which contains the items necessary to set up a command post and manage a situation over the long term. "Blackhawk! Mini Deployment Bag" describes a simple "grab-and-go" bag designed for complex missions. "Women-Specific Police Gear, Part 1" presents some uniform and equipment solutions for female officers. Encouraging Female Officer to Train Hard" indicates that the WTA offers quality training focused on women officers, but also welcomes male officers. "Defense Against Hair Pulls" proposes defensive tactics that will help female officers regain control in attacks that involve hair pulling. "Women Officer Survival Course" describes a 2-day training event that presents several survival techniques adapted to female police officers. "Honoring Fallen Officers" describes the work of the Missouri Law Enforcement Funeral Assistance Team, which was created to help agencies and families properly honor fallen officers. Information from 10 "Departments" contain job-related information, general news, police finance, police education, discipline, supervising officers, recent events, a "product showcase," an advertiser index, and a "spotlight" on products.
