This report covers programs, activities, and progress for the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration (LEAA) for fiscal year 1974.
Abstract
During the year LEAA: 1) encouraged the States to develop standards and goals for their criminal justice systems; 2) released the first in a series of surveys on the number and type of crime victims in the countrys five largest cities and in eight additional cities that have received LEAA crime reduction funds; and 3) developed new programs for involving the citizen in the criminal justice system and for making the system more responsive to citizen needs.
