Abstract
THE GUIDELINES ARE PRESENTED IN TWO-AND THREE-GRADE SPAN UNITS. THE CENTRAL ISSUES ARE - 1) WHAT IS AUTHORITY AND WHAT ARE SOME OF ITS SOURCES AND FUNCTIONS 2) WHAT ARE SOME BENEFITS AND COSTS OF AUTHORITY 3) WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF TYPICAL POSITIONS OF SUPPORT OR REJECTION OF AUTHORITY AND 4) WHAT SHOULD BE THE SCOPE AND LIMITS OF AUTHORITY.
