Abstract
THE GUIDELINES ARE PRESENTED IN TWO- AND THREE-GRADE SPAN UNITS. THE CENTRAL ISSUES ARE - 1) ARE THERE BIOLOGICAL/PHYSICAL AND PSYCHO-SOCIAL NEEDS FOR PRIVACY IN THE ANIMAL WORLD OR IN MAN 2) WHAT ARE SOME OF THE FACTORS THAT AFFECT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRIVACY 3) WHAT ARE SOME OF THE POSSIBLE BENEFITS OF PRIVACY 4) WHAT ARE SOME OF THE POSSIBLE COSTS OF PRIVACY AND 5) HOW SHOULD CONFLICTS BETWEEN THE NEED FOR PRIVACY AND COMPETING INTERESTS BE MANAGED.
